Little is known of Yuri's early history before he became a master of
the psychic arts under Josef Stalin. Stalin recognized his creative and maniacal talents
early on and employed Yuri as one of his personal aides. Not many people are granted this
privilege, it takes cunning and skill to shine, all the qualities that Yuri possesses in
abundance. His enhanced mental abilities greatly assisted Stalin in his early preparations
for a major offensive into Europe, and although he didn't play a direct role in the
invasion, his advice to Stalin was invaluable throughout the campaign, under his guidance
the majority of Europe was subjected under the Hammer and Sickle.
It was of no fault of his own that the
Stalin regime was eventually defeated by the Allied forces, the development of the
Chronosphere remained a total mystery to everyone but the highest level Allied Commanders,
and with the current resources at his disposal Stalin wasn't equipped for reconnaissance
missions. As Allied forces poured into Moscow, Stalin's last order to Yuri was to go to
China and keep its affiliation a secret from the Allies, in hopes that he can use their
own immense army for counter-strikes. Stalin never lived to see the plans carried out, he
died shortly afterward in the siege on Moscow.
Stalin's trust in Yuri was
unquestionable, he was Yuri's mentor in the arts of psychic manipulation and so Yuri was
determined to carry out his last order in hopes that the Soviet Union can become strong
once again. For a decade he and the puppet Soviet government in China suppressed all
knowledge of their involvement to the Allies and the awoken United States, and over this
time he developed his psychic abilities and even began taking in students to form his own
personal psychic force while the government amassed the Chinese army. In 1978 Yuri felt
his preparations were complete, and contacted the successor of Stalin, whom he found out
had no true love for the Allies, Alexi Romanov.
In the following year, using China's
resources and the cover of the World Socialist Alliance, Romanov ordered a huge assault
fleet to be massed ready for transport both east and west to close in on both sides of the
coast of the US. Romanov originally wanted to go straight after the Allies for a second
time, but Yuri, demonstrating his strategic genius, calmly advised him that
"attacking the Allies would most likely result in immediate assistance from the US,
but in attacking the US, the Allies will be wary to include themselves in another
war..."
And so it was decided, in early 1979 the
time had come to strike, Romanov ordered Yuri and his new Psychic Corp to deal with the
US's early-warning systems, while he appointed General Vladimir to lead the invasion of
the US. Yuri's work was efficient and swift, he suppressed all the US Peacekeepers working
in Russia, disabled the detection and alarm systems proceeding any invasion, and took
control of America's own Ballistic Missile system. The preparations were complete, and in
the midst of the confusion Romanov ordered his army to attack...
Yuri was pleased to see the efficiency of
the Soviet force, but over time grew increasingly annoyed and frustrated at
Romanov's
leadership skills. He thought Romanov was pathetic compared with his old master
Stalin,
and knew that he would not at all be an adequate ruler of such a large Empire if they
succeeded. As the war drew on the unexpected help from the Allies and Korea began to wear
down the Soviet force. Yuri could no longer take his insolence, and began to stage to a
coup d'etat to forcibly take over the invasion himself. He met with little resistance at
first, after cleverly manipulating the events so it appeared as though Vladimir was the
traitor, but when a videotape was played publically with Romanov declaring Yuri the
traitor, he felt he had no alternative but to take over the Soviet Empire by force.
His actions labeled him a traitor in all
the eyes of his former allies, and so Yuri finally knew that these people before him were
not the true glorious Soviet force that Stalin led. So he officially broke off from the
Soviet Empire and unleashed his own army and new horrific technologies against his former
side as well as his original target, the Allies. He began developing the mind boggling (no
pun intended) Psychic Dominator and planned to use them to enslave the entire world to his
will. Finally... Yuri will have his revenge...
