« YURI'S REVENGE: SQUARED »
SCREENSHOTS

Here is a list of some of the screenshots the beta testing team and I have captured while playing YR: Squared. You'll see in many that there are things being illustrated in there that have no been officially documented on the site.  Happy guessing!

As the team continue to beta test and new versions are released, more screenshots will be uploaded.  Take note that screenshots taken in earlier beta's may not be completely accurate when it comes time for the public release.

SCREENSHOTS

Taken in v1.0 Beta 2 - Desert Retexturing

Desolate Sands
Even with the abundant amounts of ore and gemstones available here I doubt this place would see much action in the war.  It costs more to keep our troops equipped with the tools necessary to survive out in the desert than the potential gains from mining anything there, so it's not something we do often.

Moroccan Metropolis
Considering the buildings here are showing no signs of battle damage, it's safe to assume the inhabitants quickly and abruptly fled the area (possibly in the aircraft of that nearby Airport).  Soon that Tech Building will be under military control for paradrop usage.

Trivial Warning
It baffles me why they waste building a lighthouse here...  The water is calm with no rocks to be seen, and the position itself isn't exactly the most efficient choice.  The place could be a beach if properly managed, although first you'd have to get rid of that attractive Oil Derrick.

Futile Farming
There's always at least one person attempting to grow crops in every type of terrain imaginable.  It's bad enough in temperate areas during the winter time when it's frozen over, but at least that hardship doesn't last all year round!  You'd be lucky for this area to get even a spot of rain...

Oil Objective
Oil is still very abundant in the desert regions of the world since the temperatures and relative seclusion of civilization there lets oil deposits sit undisturbed.  Until someone comes along, greedy enough to take the risks, builds an airport and exploits it that is.

Solitary Gorge
Couldn't you just imagine R2-D2 moving on through these canyons with the Java's lying in wait to capture him for spare parts?  Well if you are: Wrong site you are on!  Replace R2-D2 with a Terror Drone and Java's with Snipers and then get an idea of what to except here!

Endless Plains
You wouldn't want to get stuck out here!  Make sure all your troops are accounted for if you leave the area.  This is not a place where you would like to leave anybody behind, especially considering that they're probably exhausted from the fighting earlier too.

A River Runs Through It
Don't be fooled into thinking that this river is safe enough to swim in!  Sure it may be hot, but you wouldn't want to be too close to the water's edge only to have a Crocodile jump out and drag you under eh?  In these hot arid places these predators run rampant, picking off buffalo herds that travel through here.

Golden Oasis
If you're planning some sort of camping trip here, you better hope that water is good enough to drink!  Surprisingly, this is a shot of one of the most popular R&R place for our soldiers to go while they are off duty.  Who knows how long this pristine location will last for though...

Lonely Camel
I wonder who owned that camel?  Well from the looks of things it seems to own that whole town now!  We're still not sure what scared them off, as this relatively poor area of Morocco isn't exactly known for it's financial benefits.
