Happy New Year!

- MooMan65

December 31, 2004

Boy isn't it nice having two celebrations less than one week apart!? And even better when you celebrate them before most of the other people in the community (even this damn Newspro date it seems )!? If you've not experienced this, come to New Zealand! Food, women and guns for everyone! Plus you can wake up the next morning and watch a whole lot of celebrations from those behind you.

Anyways...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

...to everyone! Hopefully 2005 will bring us many exciting things for the community! Heaps of RA3 info, countless mods and maps, and of course the eventual YR˛ release!

A big to all those in 2005, and a big for everyone else!

Merry Christmas To All!

December 24, 2004

To think MooCorner has been online long enough to celebrate two Christmas's! I'd just like to take the time now to wish you all a very...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

...And thank you for supporting my projects (not to mention bearing with me on the long waiting time for YR˛!). You make all this worthwhile! Let's see some good things in 2005!

Fan Input Required!

December 22, 2004

Feel like expressing some ideas? I've just started up a thread on the C-GEN Forums where I'm inviting people to express their ideas on a possible replacement for Yuri as his own hero unit. I go into all the reasons and my own ideas in the topic, so I won't repeat them all here. Basically though I'm just sick of the idea of Yuri being his own soldier in battle where in reality leaders just don't take that risk.

Just a note: I do plan on replacing him by the first public release, so don't go over there just saying he really shouldn't be, I've had it with Yuri right now and just want to see him out of there. I still think it's hilarious how you create two Yuri's using the Cloning Vats who both think "they are the true Yuri".

New Yuri Flag!

December 15, 2004

Yeah so what if this isn't huge news? I miss the days when I posted little tidbits and graphics, instead of every post being about the beta.

Anyway, Yuri has a new flag design courtesy of DGN Staffer tq!

Well, YR is kinda lacking in the official Yuri flag department so I have always wanted a proper consistent design done to represent him in-game. I had created a quick one myself when I first began the mod, then Sypher made a very nice proper-flag looking one to replace that. Right now the small in-game flags (like the skirmish selection screen) will remain in Sypher's design, yet the flag shown here in the Yuri History page will be tq's new one above. The new one has a bigger difference in colour shading which helps it stand out more. In my opinion anyway.

Soviets Part 1 Released!

- MooMan65

December 2, 2004

I figured you could use some new juice, so I decided to release the Soviet Info pages in two parts. This first part contains the Structures and Armory pages which have been added to the left hand sidebar. This is also because I have yet to decide upon a few Soviet unit changes and I don't want you guys getting the wrong information!

So enjoy the new info! I waited until now after the last poll was completed so I was able to make a decision over the Soviet Force Shield. It's gone bye bye.

Major Month, Major Poll!

- MooMan65

December 1, 2004

Christmas is nearly upon us! It's the start of December, meaning the start of a new poll!

It was actually a relatively close race with the Force Shield. The majority always was towards supporting my decision of removing it, but the other two main options closed in the gap as time went on. When it's closer like this it's still pretty difficult decision which course of action to take, but I suppose in this case I should go with the most popular choice (since I decided upon this anyway earlier). The Force Shield will remain disabled, and we'll see what that may result in.

The new question is something I'm very interested in hearing about your opinion:

"How do you want YR˛ to be released?"

Don't get too excited! I'm not about to change my decision of waiting for the entire thing to be finished before the first public release, but I am interested in seeing public opinion over whether they wouldn't mind the wait or just want to play the mod with the basic unit and structure changes only with the bigger major features released as later versions. Or maybe you don't care either way. This is something I've been wondering about how the majority of you prefer the way I'm designing the mod or not. Have your say!!

Do think it through detailing your opinion by posting a comment! In the mean time here are the final results from the last poll:

Determine the fate of the Force Shield! [78 votes total]

-Put it back in as it was. (19)
-Keep it removed entirely. (29)
-Give it to Soviets only (secondary Iron Curtain superweapon) (22)
-Other (please comment) (8)

So be sure to cast your vote (boy I sound like a politician! )
