| I have added in a fair number of new
multiplayer modes as well as enabling most of the online gameplay modes (excluding Unholy
Alliance). Here is a rundown of the new modes available: Nuke War - Nuke War was removed from the game for unknown
reasons but I have put it enabled it again. In this mode allows all players to access all
superweapons in the game excluding America's Paradrop and Korea's Parabombs.
Crate War - This mode gives you the full
experience of C&C's crate system. In this mode, crates are a LOT more plentiful and
more random. There are still no bad crates enabled so you can explore all you like without
the worry of something bad happening.
Shadow War - A mode unique to MooMan's
Rules. Shadow War is all about sneak attacks and hit and run strategies which
allows you to bring out the full potential of RTS games. All offensive units will be
cloaked in this mode and cannot be seen by the enemy until about to fire. I say offensive
because Miners, MCVs, Engineers, and structures are not cloaked, and the Construction Yard
and defensive structures have sensors equipped to detect cloaked units directly around it.
Also due to limitations of the engine, Aircraft cannot cloak like the others.
Deathmatch - Deathmatch brings back the
old no-base function in RA, as players will not start with a MCV in this mode. This mode
was mainly designed to be played on WOL because the AI is very dumb without a base. Also
the starting units in this mode will be a lot more random than other modes, meaning you
can start with most units available including ones that are country specific. So the
French can start with the Chrono Tank and Tank Destroyer etc. but normal Allied/Soviet
requirements apply. Crates are slightly more plentiful in this mode and every crate will
be a free unit crate, allowing you to utilize more units in your force.
Tech War - Perhaps the most played game
mode available in MooMan's Rules. Tech War allows you to build all country
specific technology plus spy infiltrated technology units as normal playable units. For
example, no matter what Allied country you choose, they will get all Allied country
specific abilities and same with the Soviets (and Yuri if you have YR). Also the units you
get when a spy infiltrates a Battle Lab are also available. This opens up many new
strategies using a much wider variety of units to choose from. The special units available
from the Research Center however still will not be buildable (even with the Tech
Expansion installed), as that would make that particular Tech structure useless.
First Come, First Serve - Basically this
mini-game mode is identical to battle but Tech Buildings are invulnerable to damage so the
first player to capture it will have it completely for the rest of the game.
The Art Of Rushing - Named this way
because of this mode being a rushers paradise. Everything is constructed almost instantly
on this mode! Meaning offence and defense and very easy to come by. Superweapons stay at
their normal charge times though. Beware, the enemy also has the ability, so watch out for
attacks! This mode is primarily designed for quick matches where people just either want
to test everything out or blow the crap out of everything that can explode... =)
