« MOOMAN'S RULES »
MAP ADDITIONS

This page contains the details on certain maps which I have added into the game as well as a list of those maps I have modified to include the new Tech Structures (details here). All the additions here are added through the Tech Expansion add-on to MooMan's Rules, the main mod does not include these maps.

Please note that descriptions and information here is also in the MooMan's Rules readme file.

NOTE: The maps that are added in MooMan's Rules are only available in the Yuri's Revenge game, while both games use modified Westwood maps listed at the bottom.

ADDED MAPS

Dino Park
Players: 2-8
Theater: New Urban
One of the original maps which only the name was revealed, the map itself didn't ship with Yuri's Revenge. Fortunately the first Yuri's Revenge official mappack included the map Irvine, California, which was in fact a modified version of the original Dino Park. I have made a few changes to the map to suit the name and included it as an official MooMan's Rules map. Watch out for 'em dinos! :)
Double Trouble (Megawealth)
Players: 2-4
Theater: Temperate
Hidden in the game files was a megawealth version of the Team Alliance map Double Trouble. MooMan's Rules has completely restored this map for use in your battles.
Escalation
Players: 2-4
Theater: Desert
A large four player desert map. One of RVMECH's restorations of one of the pre-release maps originally going to be shipped with Yuri's Revenge.
Glasnost
Players: 2-8
Theater: Temperate
A very nice and big map! Glasnost is an 8-player temperate map found in the game files but was partially corrupt and bland. I restored the map and added in some new features and objects to make skirmish/online games on here exciting. Due to it's large size, it takes noticeably longer to load a game on this map, so slower computers will have a harder time playing Glasnost.
Islands In The Stream
Players: 2-3
Theater: Temperate
This map was the very first Hammer and Sickle map, and was originally going to be named that with the existing Hammer and Sickle map instead being named Islands in the Stream. Since Yuri's Revenge's map management is more complex, I had to keep the original Hammer and Sickle map name and made this one Islands In the Stream instead. Also this map was originally a 4 player map, but one of the starting positions was in a very confined space and hindered building areas especially for the AI, who hardly built anything, so I reduced the player maximum to 3 and made a 3 way battle map.
LA Reservoir
Players: 2-4
Theater: Urban
An Urban based map found in the game files which was restored by me. It was unknown why this map was never released to the public officially but MooMan's Rules fully restores it.
Moon Base
Players: 2-4
Theater: Lunar
Now this is a fun map to play, a medium to large four player lunar map. This restoration by RVMECH is a third-party impression of what this obsolete map could have been like if it were released with the final version of Yuri's Revenge. Each player starts on a corner of the map and there is a large neutral Yuri base in the center that will attack anyone nearby. The only infantry that can be trained in this level are the Rocketeer for Allies, the Cosmonaut for the Soviets, and the Brute for Yuri, (because of it's genetically enhanced nature). Paradrops have been modified to only give you each of this type of infantry. The only way of earning credits in this map is via your Construction Yard, as long as it's present on the battlefield, it will periodically give you a small amount of cash much like Oil Derricks do. Be careful, if the Yard is destroyed, so is your income source.
Return To Forest Fires
Players: 2-8
Theater: Temperate

This large temperate map was most likely originally going to be a modification of the popular Tiberian Sun map Forest Fires. DGN in-house map maker RVMECH restored this map and I added in the features of MooMan's Rules to bring you a great new enhancement for 8 player battles.

Siberian Wastes II
Players: 2-8
Theater: Snow

This map was in the game files as a basic layout only of a modification of the existing map Siberian Wastes. I added quite a bit of detail, resources, terrain features, LAT titling, etc. to get this map into playable condition. The increased size of the map over the original now allows up to 8 players on at the same time instead of the original 6.

Skyscraper
Players: 2-4
Theater: NewUrban

RVMECH restored this medium sized 4 player NewUrban map to re-enable the obsolete map Skyscraper. In this map there are 4 'cities' surrounded by a particular wall of a side in the game, and guarded by neutral defensive structures for that side which will attack anyone. The forth block is a general being guarded by each sides defensive structures. Inside each block there are a number of tech structures to capture.

South Pole Slugfest
Players: 2-4
Theater: Snow

A very open and flat 4 player map based on the Antarctic snowlands made by RVMECH. Although not really detailed, it's a very good deathmatch map for online battles!

The Alamo II
Players: 2-4
Theater: Urban

Found in the game files that was a 4 player modification of the existing map The Alamo. A bit of restoration was needed and I added a few of the new Tech Buildings.
